Milan-based studio

Founded in 2020 by Filippo Fiora and Federico Sigali, 13.1 is an architecture and interior design practice based at 5 Via Borgonuovo, Milano. The studio works internationally across residential and hospitality projects. Rooted in Italian culture, its work reinterprets traditions of craftsmanship, material sensitivity and the art of living through a contemporary perspective. Each project balances enduring elegance with a fresh, relevant spirit, creating spaces defined by character, atmosphere and a distinct sense of place.

Filippo Fiora

Architect

Filippo Fiora graduated with honours in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano. His practice moves fluidly across architecture, interiors, design and visual culture, guided by the belief that creativity is a continuous, multidisciplinary process. Drawing on a broad interest in art, photography and fashion, he approaches every project as a complete composition. Proportion, atmosphere and detail come together in a precise yet intuitive language, balancing architectural rigour with a contemporary sensitivity.

Federico Sigali

Designer

Raised in Pietrasanta, the Tuscan town renowned for its sculptural tradition and international artistic community, Federico Sigali developed an early sensitivity to art, materials and craftsmanship. After graduating in Economics, he moved into design and deepened his knowledge of stone, marble and traditional techniques. His work combines sculptural intuition with Italian artisanal culture, exploring how enduring materials and skilled craftsmanship can be reinterpreted through a contemporary perspective.
